Bio

Hi, my name is Dani Cabs, I’m a multi-dimensional fun facilitator and I like to Play with photo/video, dance, site activation and clowning to explore and strengthen relationships within community.

I hold a Bachelor of Photographic Art with First Class Honors from QCA and have trained with La Boite Theatre, award-winning physical comedian Dr. Brown (Phillip Burgers), Anna Yen and Danielle Cresp.

In 2021/22 I was one of the inaugural ArtKeeper residents at HOTA on the GC, which provided funding and mentorship from Wesley Enoch to create a one-man solo show. As a result I created Poncho: Keep it Up, which toured nationally in 2022/23.

Since June 2023 I’ve been the Comic Host on Strut And Fret’s, Blanc de Blanc Uncorked, onboard the P&O Pacific Encounter and Adventure, performing with elite artists from around the world to thousands of people.

Previous comedy works include Who is Dani Cabs? (Best Emerging Artist Nominee Adelaide Fringe 2015), Poncho Orange and Weekend at Barnie’s (Collaboration with Barnie Duncan, Winner Anywhere Theatre Award 2017).

I strongly believe that Play is essential for a healthy community. It is what helped build our societies many millennia ago. I like encourage adults in my community to look at their environment and each other with Play in mind.
